MILESTONE SCIENTIFIC INC. ENTERS $1 BILLION-PLUS TOOTH WHITENING MARKET WITH IONIC WHITE(TM) SYSTEM FOR CONSUMERS

TELEVISION INFOMERCIALS AIRED IN 23 MARKETS OVER WEEKEND
LIVINGSTON, New Jersey (March 14, 2005) -- Milestone Scientific Inc. (AMEX: MS), which manufactures and markets computer-controlled local anesthetic delivery systems for medical and dental applications, today announced the launch of its new Ionic White™ enhanced technology tooth whitening system to the consumer market via television infomercials that aired in 23 markets throughout the United States on March 12th and March 13th, 2005.
The Ionic White™ system whitens and brightens all tooth surfaces within approximately 21 minutes in an easy-to-use home kit that includes a unique “cool blue” intra-oral light and proprietary gel. The system provides an alternative to costly and time-consuming trips to the dentist and/or other over-the-counter products that do not offer the same benefits as the Ionic White™ system. Ionic White™ starter kits include a proprietary StayWhite™ whitening rinse, which allows users to continuously maintain white, bright smiles after the initial whitening process. The StayWhite™ rinse will also be sold as part of a continuity kit, providing Milestone with recurring revenues after the initial sale of each Ionic White™ system. Both products will be sold through a joint venture, and Milestone will receive a fee for each system and continuity kit that is purchased.

Milestone Scientific is the developer, manufacturer and marketer of CompuMed® and CompuDent® computer controlled local anesthetic delivery systems for medical and dental applications. These systems are comprised of a microprocessor controlled drive unit and single patient use disposable handpieces.
