MILESTONE SCIENTIFIC INC. APPOINTS NEW CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

LIVINGSTON, New Jersey (August 17, 2005) -- Milestone Scientific Inc. (AMEX: MS), which develops, manufactures and markets computer controlled local anesthetic delivery systems, today announced that Rosaline Shau, CPA, MBA has been appointed the Company’s Chief Financial Officer, effective August 15, 2005.
Ms. Shau, 45, joined Milestone as Assistant Controller in October 2004, and had been Acting Chief Financial Officer and Acting Chief Accounting Officer of Milestone since May 19, 2005. Before that, she had over 15 years of diversified accounting and tax consulting experience.
“We are pleased that Ms. Shau has agreed to become our Chief Financial Officer and that we have had this opportunity to promote from within,” said Leonard Osser, Chief Executive Officer of Milestone. “Our Board’s appointment of Ms. Shau reflects her dedicated work and skilled performance as our Acting Chief Financial and Accounting Officer and her strong accounting, tax and financial background.”
